When machines are ripe for restoration they can generally go in one of two directions. The full-on, ground-up concourse restoration or the road-worthy refurbishment. In the end, most vehicles end up with a compromise of the two, combining stylish looks with some modern advancement toward safety, reliability or just good old speed and performance. Whether the goal is originality or modifications and customizing, The Daily Rider.

"Mark is incredibly patient and will go the extra mile to get your bike on the road. For a reasonable price he completely rebuilt my finicky '75 Yamaha RD 350 that had been sitting for 25 years. I've been incredibly impressed with all of Mark's restoration projects bikes, cars and scooters."

My Yamaha was in "storage" for about 14 years in a barn, all but seized up. It needed more of a miracle worker than a mechanic. Mark talked about all the repairs needed, gave me a fair quote and wound up putting some extra TLC into the renovation of my bike. He makes himself available and shares his knowledge and enthusiasm of mechanics whenever I stop by the shop. Now if only my girlfriend would show a fraction of the interest Mark put into my bike, the world would be a lot closer to perfection. Thanks Mark for getting me back on the road. ..............................................................................................Harold Kaplan
